Equality

Equality Objectives

At Holy Trinity CE Primary School, we are proud to serve a rich and diverse community. Guided by our Christian vision and values, we are committed to ensuring that every member of our school community feels valued, respected and able to flourish. We actively promote equality, celebrate diversity and work to remove barriers so that every child has the opportunity to achieve their full potential.

Our current Equality Objectives are to:

  • Promote equality, diversity and inclusion by developing pupils' understanding and respect for people from all backgrounds, cultures, faiths, identities and experiences through our curriculum, collective worship and wider school life.

  • Reduce prejudice and challenge discrimination by teaching pupils about equality, protected characteristics and the importance of treating everyone with dignity and respect.

  • Support families from all backgrounds by providing opportunities, information and, where appropriate, English language support to help parents and carers engage confidently with school life and their children's education.

  • Remove barriers to learning by ensuring that pupils who may be disadvantaged or vulnerable receive the support they need to access the curriculum, participate fully in school life and achieve their potential.

  • Develop inclusive classroom practice by continually improving the quality of teaching and targeted support so that all pupils, including those with additional needs or facing disadvantage, can thrive.

Further information about how we promote equality and meet our duties under the Equality Act 2010 can be found in our Equality Policy, available in the Policies section of our website.
